Year 12 students Jacob P, Stephanie K, Noa J, Gal T and Aimee O, performed an excerpt from Shakespeare's The Tempest in Week 2. The version of the text performed was a reinterpretation by Australian physical theatre company, ZenÌýZenÌýZo. Our students recontextualised it to be loosely set onÌýWadjemupÌý(Rottnest Island), with the characters based on animals and aspects of the island. This performance also required the students to learn the physical theatre style,ÌýButohÌýwhich is a form of Japanese 'dance' theatre.
