On Friday 22 October,听our Carmel Primary School Chess team won the Kids Unlimited WA Interschools finals with a perfect score of 36 points out of 36.听Five players: Marcus, Daniel, Mia, Yonatan and Oz, didn't drop a single game and finished with nine points out of nine.听Josh S, Max, Ezra and Asher placed sixth to ninth and Josh K, 12th. Mia was named Best Female Player.听
The arbiter summarised the championship by saying it was the most convincing win he had ever seen.听Mazal tov to our superstar Chess team,听especially since they worked so hard for this win.
Carmel now qualifies for the Australian National Interschools finals to be held at the end of November.
