Dear Carmel Primary School families,

JHUB will soon start work on their carpark (see image above) from Monday 19 February 2024 for a period of approximately 8 weeks.

This will have a significant impact on our families during this time. To ensure the safety of your child/ren and to minimise the inconvenience, can we please ask for your help with the following:

• Kindergarten families to park in the staff bays and drop their child/ren off for an 8:30am start each day.
• Pre-primary families to park in the staff bays and drop their child/ren off for an 8:15am start each day.
• It is essential that parking in the available bays is kept to the minimum time. Please farewell your children at the classroom doors where the teachers await them and return to move out of the carpark as quickly as possible.Ìý
• Years 1 to 6 families, where possible please use the drive through option.
• If you live close-by, please consider walking, riding, scooting etc. for this period.
• For older Primary School students who have siblings in the High School, at the parents’ discretion, please drop them to the High School and ask them to walk across the oval and back at pickup time.
• Please do not use the drive through to park or wait for high school students.
• Investigate the possibility of carpooling with other families.

Further communication will be sent with regard to assemblies and events during the disruption. Please ensure you share this email with any caregivers who may drop or collect students.Ìý

We understand that this will be an inconvenience, but rest assured we will have additional staff on hand to ensure the safety of all children is met. The outcome, when it is finished, will have long term benefits to the community.
